Antique Edwardian (1891-1903) Lavalier heart pendant. The piece features seed pearls and a single blue sapphire set into a flower surrounded by delicate leaves. On the underside of the pendant, the piece is hallmarked F.S.B and 9ct indicated the piece was handmade by Frederick Sidney Banks in 9ct yellow and rose gold.
These types of pendants were named Lavalier pendants popularized by the Duchesse de la Valliere, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.
MEASUREMENT:
The pendant measures 2.5cm / 0.9" in length (excluding jump ring) and 2.2cm / 0.8" in width. The piece hangs from a new rose gold chain measuring 18".

CONDITION:
The piece is in excellent antique condition. The pendant does not features any scratches or dents.
