Tortoise Ring
Out of Africa Collection
A beautifully hand-carved friend for your finger, our adorable tortoise ring features an incredibly detailed tortoise, ready to nestle on your hand. Entirely handmade at our seaside studio, you’ll treasure his tiny shell, sweet little tail and inquisitive face.
This unique ring was inspired by Michael Ende’s children’s novel Momo and the character of Cassiopeia, a mystic tortoise who communicates by writing on her shell. This little ring can’t do that (as far as we know…) but it could serve as a wearable reminder of some of the central themes of the novel: don’t rush through life, live and enjoy the ‘now’, rather than worrying what you need to do next AND try to reject stress and consumerism.
Cleverly designed, so that the tortoise’s feet rest on your finger and the tail and neck look seamlessly part of the ring band, it’s super comfortable to wear.
As with all our collections, this pretty piece of tortoise jewellery is available in your choice of sterling silver, 9 or 18ct yellow, rose or white gold or platinum,
